In light of the heavy rainfall in Himachal Pradesh, Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu has announced the closure of all government and private educational institutions recognized by the state government on July 10 and 11.

Due to heavy rainfall in Himachal Pradesh, the state government has announced the closure of all schools and colleges on July 10 and 11. Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu tweeted in Hindi, stating that both government and private educational institutions recognized by the state government will remain closed during this time. The India Meteorological Department has issued a red alert for the state, warning of heavy to very heavy rainfall and the possibility of flooding and landslides. Several districts have been placed on high alert, and efforts are being made to manage the situation and restore affected areas. Additionally, unexpected snowfall was reported in Lahaul and Spiti district.
