Sourav Ganguly, popularly known as Dada, celebrated his 51st birthday on July 8, 2023. Born on July 8, 1972, in Kolkata, India, Ganguly is considered one of the greatest cricket captains in the history of Indian cricket. He was known for his aggressive style of play and his leadership skills.

Ganguly made his debut in international cricket in 1992 and went on to have a successful career spanning over a decade. He was particularly known for his remarkable performances as an opening batsman and his ability to lead the Indian cricket team to significant victories.

Under Ganguly's captaincy, the Indian team achieved several notable milestones. He played a crucial role in transforming the team into a competitive force in world cricket. Ganguly was instrumental in fostering a fighting spirit within the team and nurturing the talents of young players like Virender Sehwag, Harbhajan Singh, Yuvraj Singh, and Zaheer Khan, who later became key contributors to Indian cricket.
