Man UTD Agrees to £60m deal with Midfielder Mason Mount.
An agreement has been made between Manchester United and Chelsea for the transfer of Mason Mount. The overall fee for the deal is £60 million ($76m).
Manchester United and Chelsea have reached an agreement for the transfer of Mason Mount. After having an initial bid of £55m ($69m) rejected, United agreed to pay £55m plus £5m ($6m) in add-ons. GOAL reports that the full extra £5m will only be paid if Mount wins the Premier League or Champions League multiple times.
The two clubs have been in negotiations throughout the summer, with United making three bids for the England international. The transfer saga now appears to be nearing its conclusion.
In other news, Chelsea has been trimming their squad under new manager Mauricio Pochettino. They sold Kai Havertz to Arsenal and saw Kalidou Koulibaly, N'Golo Kante, and Edouard Mendy move to Saudi Arabia.
