Bank Holiday on Bakri Id 2023

According to a recent report by Moneycontrol, it has been confirmed that certain states in India will observe a bank holiday on June 28th and 29th, 2023, in celebration of the religious festival Eid al-Adha, also known as Bakrid. The states where banks will remain closed during these dates including Belapur, Jammu, Kochi, Mumbai, Nagpur, Srinagar, Thiruvananthapuram, allowing employees and customers to participate in the festivities and spend quality time with their families and loved ones. Eid al-Adha commemorates the willingness of Ibrahim (Abraham) to sacrifice his son as an act of obedience to God, symbolizing faith, devotion, and selflessness.
