PM Modi reached Delhi on Monday morning after his first state visits to the US and Egypt in six days. BJP chief JP Nadda, Union Minister Meenakshi Lekhi and some party MPs like Hans Raj Hans and Gautam Gambhir were among those who welcomed him at the Palam airport.

PM Modi shared a video of his Egypt visit on Twitter today. It shows him landing in the African nation, meeting Egypt's PM Mostafa Madbouly and President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi and talking to Indians living there. It was his first visit to Egypt.

PM Modi wrote on Twitter with the video, "It was a historic visit to Egypt. It will strengthen India-Egypt ties and help our people. I am grateful to President @AlsisiOfficial, the Government and the people of Egypt for their love."

President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi gave PM Modi the highest state honour of Egypt. It was his thirteenth award like this. PM Modi has got many international awards in the last nine years. Some of them are Companion of the Order of Logohu, Companion of the Order of Fiji and Ebakl Award by Palau.

India and Egypt was elevated to a “Strategic Partnership” after PM Modi and President El-Sisi met on Sunday. They explored various avenues to strengthen their cooperation, such as trade, investment, defence, security, renewable energy, and cultural and people-to-people exchanges.
